Julien Locke is a nordic ski racer from Nelson, BC and a member of the Canadian National Ski Team. Julien trains with the Black Jack Ski Team and competes on the FIS World Cup series.

Born and raised in the Kootenays, Julien began skiing at the age of 3 and soon joined the Nelson Nordic Ski Club Jackrabbit program, which was organized my his mother. While his desire to race far outweighed his enthusiasm for Rabbits, Julien completed all levels of Jackrabbits before moving on to the Junior Racing Team. From there, with the help of enthusiastic volunteer coaches, Julien began competing at Kootenay Cups and the BC Midget Championships.

Swimming competitively in the summer and skiing in the winter, Julien entered in his first BC Cup at age 14 and his first National Championships at age 15. In the spring of 2008, Julien joined the Black Jack Ski Team and began training year round. Julien has been skiing with Black Jack ever since. Fortunate to be part of a program lead by former NST coach, Dave Wood, Julien has steadily progressed. His sites are now set on international success.
